Join

Server is live. Install the required mods, join the Steam group, then pick the server from the Left 4 Dead 2 main menu.

    Install the mods

    Subscribe to the Beta Core Workshop collection and the required third-party collection. No mods, no entry.

  2. Step 02

    Join the Steam group

    In the group, the dedicated server shows up on the Left 4 Dead 2 main menu. Join the group, launch the game, and you'll see it.

  3. Step 03

    Connect (console)

    Prefer the developer console (`)? That still works. Pick one:

    Direct connect 

    connect files.beta-core.net

    Matchmaking force — create a lobby, set server preference to Best available dedicated, then run: 

    mm_dedicated_force_servers files.beta-core.net:27015

    That drops your lobby onto the Beta Core dedicated server.
